Wei Wuxian frowns - there's clearly something big going on here, this isn't just Jin Ling wanting to engage in some youthful indiscretion, there's something serious behind it. When he gets up, Wuxian is immediately on his feet and reaching for his arm.
"Ah ah ah, no, Rulan, A-Ling, sit down sit down, I promise I won't say anything. If you can't tell me that's alright, I'll try and tell you what you need to know, come on."
Clearly his nephew needs him, he's not going to let him down after spending so many years not being there for him.

He feels a glow of warmth at her kindness, but just like so many things it's bittersweet - he wishes he could spend more time with her, that this blossoming friendship didn't have to end either.
