Zizhen is half dozing when Jin Ling cuddles up to him and he almost wakes, but he just ends up smiling a little and letting it happen - Jin Ling probably has precious little physical affection in his life (especially with Yuan at Cloud Recesses) so he's willing to give it when the other young man is injured and miserable. Besides, it's kind of comfortable.
Elsewhere in Carp Tower, a servant is searching out Jiang Cheng again with a troubled expression.
"E-excuse me, Jiang-zongzhu?" He asks politely "there's a woman here advising her name is Madame Su, she says she needs to speak to Jin-zongzhu on a private matter."

Yuan is nervous all the way through the ceremony, terrified he's going to do something wrong and fall at the first hurdle, but everything goes perfectly and by the time it's over he's fighting not to grin like an idiot and keep his smile serene and dignified.
He's officially a Lan disciple, he can't quite believe it. He smiles gratefully at them all - his family - ready to begin this new chapter.
Later, he finds Jingyi, putting on his best polite-Lan-disciple expression as he taps his new friend on the shoulder.
