"He's definitely been eating more," Zizhen agrees, partly out of loyalty and partly because it's true, ever since they started having snacks around all the time he's been eating a lot better - still less than anybody would probably like, but once again it's a start.
"Honestly, I can really see the difference since I arrived," he says, attempting to reassure both Jin Ling and his uncle. Ling might not feel like he's making any progress, but Zizhen thinks he definitely is.

He doesn't know how these things work, but now that he's actually thinking about it he wonders if it shouldn't have been obvious. His uncle is the current sect leader, Zewu Jun has no children, so if anything happened to him it would pass to Hanguang Jun and then, naturally, to him.
"...It is." he admits slowly "Are... are you sure, though? Maybe he's going to name someone else as an heir, that can happen right?"
