As Jin Ling, it felt.. oddly natural. Like, of course Zizhen would be trustworthy enough to go into a room full of treasure and sect secrets, not harm anything, and come back. Had things changed that much between them?
While they were doing that Liling takes the platter and sets it on a table, high enough that it wouldn't tempt Fairy. She then brings some water over for them, upset that she hadn't gotten there in time to prevent this.
Outside, Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang are alerted there's a commotion. The acting sect leader complains they're never going to finish their dinner and asks the guard to bring the servant to an interrogation room.

Hanguang Jun nods at his husband and looks like he wants to make Jingyi let go, but.. the two boys are holding onto each other fiercely. Since they're so close, only the bottom of the mountain, he tells Jingyi to lift Sizhui. The two of them ride swords back up to the top, leaving Wei Wuxian and a bunch of enraged ducklings juniors to deal with the villagers.
