Zizhen isn't sleeping all that heavily because of the pain anyway, so he's quick to stir when Jin Ling's distress becomes more obvious. At first he isn't sure what to do, whether to leave him to sleep through it and comfort him in the morning, or whether to wake him up. When the latest heartwrenching whimper makes him almost flinch, his mind is made up, and he shakes Jin Ling's good shoulder gently.
"Hey... Ling? C'mon wake up." he whispers softly "It's okay, it's just a nightmare."

"Of course." Wei Wuxian says firmly - he likes Jingyi, especially considering the way he worries about Yuan, and he wants to support him in this.
He steps back over to his husband, placing a hand on his shoulder and looking down at their son.
"Just keep him stable for a little while longer. We'll find out what she knows and fix this, I promise."
