Jin Ling catches his uncle's gaze briefly and bows his head with a sincere look of gratitude. He knows what was just done for him. Once food is served, he'll be able to slip away without being seen as rude.

"Guess he's really changed." It was a really good thing too given what his duties were, but it was a little sad too. It meant Jin Ling wasn't the same 'Rulan' as he was before, the one who Jingyi had loved. He was sure he'd love this new Rulan too, but it'd be different.
Still, it is hard to focus on that when this pretty boy is blushing and being so cute about his friend. "Like what? I want to hear everything! How did you two meet?"
